The stoves are officially lit, and the 2026 season is underway. To celebrate, Saturday on May 30th we are focusing on what matters most to us: community, heritage, and incredible food.

We invite you to start your evening at 5:00 PM up at the Lodge for our signature Opening Night Prime Rib Dinner. We are keeping the atmosphere in our dining room cozy, intimate, and analog—there will be no live music up here, just a fantastic meal and great company to mark the start of summer. Because our kitchen prepares fresh for the evening, reservations for Prime Rib are strictly required.

Once dinner concludes, the heritage celebration moves down the mountain. We are asking our guests and neighbors to caravan down to the historic Buford Schoolhouse Fundraiser (42600 County Road 17) for their annual Pig Roast & Country Dance. The dance kicks off at 8:00 PM and features a live performance by local favorites, Cimarron. If you've already dined with us at the Lodge, admission to the schoolhouse is just $15 for the dance. It's a classic BYOB community event, so feel free to stock your cooler at the Lodge Store before you head down the dirt road!
